Pros

Serious ability to move up as long as you are willing to sacrifice family and personal life. Solid benefits, 401k, stock options, employee discounts!

Cons

No work life balance, RD is very negative, little to no positive words but to say every week, " I would put you guys up against any other region", awhile tearing us down for the previous 60 mins! No recognition for top performers! 6 Day work weeks 52 weeks a years unless you have PTO or miraculously are TOLD you can have Saturday off! Just went to recent meeting and discussion was that, we "need you to be in stores more, nights, weekends, early am"! No mention of liking your job, or balance! The boost of morale would make company more attractive and stop turn on SM and DM level which is one of industry highest!! How can you be a mid-30's parent with active kids and be told you HAVE to work every Saturday!!! How about family time!! The EVP's need to get with the DVP's and get on same page one division is working 5 days the other division 6 days! How does this make other DM's feel! I'll answer! Makes them feel unequal, overworked and under appreciated!! This was worst Summer of my entire working career worked 29 days in June, 28 days in July and it appears 29 days in August....please help the field!!

Pros

You have an opportunity to create good good relationships with your customers.

Cons

There is no work life balance. If you’re a store manager you’re expected to be there 24/7 if necessary. You’re also salary, so you’re paid for a flat 40 hours but required to schedule yourself for a minimum of 48 hours. No holiday pay, no overtime. You have access to two types of bonuses but they’re IF you qualify for them. You get little to no support from upper management and constantly told you’re not doing enough. They don’t care if you’re having staffing issues and still expect you to get the truck completely worked in 2 days and the store to be 100% recovered daily, even if you’re alone. Then they’ll either look for ways to write you up to terminate you or push you until you quit.
