Pros

Dominion Financial Services has been the most rewarding and best company I have ever worked for. We operate in an environment where value, excellence, and going above and beyond are expected every day. This is the big leagues. It is a place built for winners. In the lending industry, the demand for continuous growth and the ability to adapt to changing markets is not for everyone. For those who rise to the challenge, it is an incredible place to thrive. Dominion is truly multicultural, with people of many races and backgrounds working together, including at the leadership level. As someone born in Africa, I find it offensive when anyone suggests otherwise. Pointing fingers and avoiding personal accountability is the easy way out. Lending is a demanding field that requires strength of mind and character. It can be challenging at times, but our teams and departments are supportive, highly professional, and operate with the highest ethical standards I have ever seen in any financial institution. I come to work each day energized by the opportunity to drive positive change and make things better. True professionals who are experts in their field and committed to excellence will thrive here. Those looking to simply clock in and coast, however, will not succeed in this environment.

Cons

Zero . I look in the mirror and take accountability.

Pros

They let you work from home but expect unpaid overtime and for you to work whenever they want you to

Cons

This was the most dysfunctional workplace I’ve ever experienced. The culture revolves around constant meetings — often several hours a day — with mandatory cameras on, even in sessions with 100+ attendees. Leadership, especially the CEO, fosters an environment of fear and instability. Decisions feel driven by ego and obsession rather than strategy, and employee well‑being is not a priority. The company’s business practices often felt ethically questionable, and many employees expressed discomfort with how customers and tenants were treated. The internal culture normalizes behavior that would be red flags anywhere else. At one point, several employees even received disturbing items in the mail, which should have prompted serious internal reflection but didn’t. Overall, the environment is chaotic, unsupportive, and ethically troubling. I would strongly caution others to research thoroughly before considering employment here
