I don't even know where to start...
— People running the company do not have experience in SaaS and it is painfully obvious
— Some of the high level management outsources leadership decisions to people below them which creates a culture where there is a complete lack of accountability
— Directors are being hired to cover up for those who are above them, but unfortunately the interview processes are flawed which results in hires that also have no idea what they are doing. In the end there are layers of hierarchy, endless meetings but no results, progress or at least accountability
— Huge issues with communication, especially when it comes to product decisions. Why was this decision taken and by whom, based on what data and with what desired outcomes — it's not easy to find answers to these questions at Doodle
— Delivery teams are set up for failure because the work is happening in silos and honestly it feels like you are in an echo chamber until you randomly find out another team is working on a solution that will kill you work that you have been working on for months
— For a company that's in scheduling business, the meeting culture is the worst I've ever seen; 20 hours a week spent in meetings is a "good" week
— No career development plans in some departments & no clear career path is the least bad thing 🙃
I would also strongly advise for people who care for their mental health to stay away from chaos that's Doodle. You deserve better from your employer than telling you to adapt to chaos and find comfort in the uncomfortable, that's just lazy management that does not care for the people's wellbeing.
