As the facility is to host a cutting-edge science and technology, one has lots of exposures to learn new things in different disciplines as the project advances.

There's a problem of communication or lack thereof among few groups. Additionally, the salary is below average.

Free time Some colleagues are good You can do anything in your free time since nobody cares

Many completely incompetent people and totally useless managers. Useless in a sense that they are unemployable somewhere else so they stick here like a super glue. Many useless people(almost 1/3 of the all employees) work here for a long time since nobody cares. No proper salary increase over the years(since budget goes for useless people). Almost no benefits matching the industry standard(except selected few). Managers and some selected people waste millions of euros for useless travels, their salaries and bonuses. Away from city. Everything delays since nobody cares while they try to look like they are world class research center(they are not). Low quality research while they try to reflect it is good(publishing in q2-q3 journals or conferance papers with 50+ coauthors while spending millions of euros)
