Pros

Some solid coworkers at the store level trying to make the best of a bad situation.

Cons

Everything advertised is exaggerated. “No slow days” is not accurate—workflow is inconsistent and there are times with little to no work. “Clean shop” and “modern equipment” do not reflect reality. Shops are often disorganized, understaffed, and poorly managed. The technicians doing the work are carrying the operation while management struggles to keep things running efficiently. Pay sounds good on paper but depends heavily on workload that isn’t consistent. Expectations are high, but support, structure, and leadership are lacking. High turnover should tell you everything you need to know.

Pros

Working at ER Autocare has been an incredible experience. It’s a truly great, family-owned company that genuinely cares about both its customers and its employees. The work-life balance is one of the best I’ve ever had—management understands the value of time outside of work and supports a healthy, balanced lifestyle. What really stands out is the opportunity for growth. There’s always room to advance and develop your skills, and leadership is always encouraging employees to move forward in their careers. The team culture is supportive, hardworking, and welcoming—making it a place you actually enjoy coming to every day. If you’re looking for a career in the automotive industry with a company that values its people, ER Autocare is the place to be.

Pros

Skilled techs who genuinely care about customers. High car count; bays stay busy daily. Good variety of makes and problems. Room to build processes if empowered. Local customers are loyal and forgiving.

Cons

Inconsistent policies and moving KPI goalposts. BDC creates chaos instead of conversions. Parts sourcing is disorganized and slow. Communication top-down is reactive, not strategic. Bonus basis changed after month-end P&L “revisions.” I’m pursuing legal remedies for unpaid wages and disputed bonus calculations related to my employment. Paid by paper checks from day one. (smells tax fraud-y to me) Blame culture; wins ignored, mistakes magnified.
