Only a few managers actually care.

I have never worked for a company where managers are so mean to their team members. People literally carry out eye service just to be in the managers good book. Team members talk behind your back, you raise issues with managers they brush in aside because your are not in their clique. The manager only engages and assign work to team members that he likes. So much gossip from the team and you can imagine what they say also behind your back. No accountability, you report an issue they try to blame you or tell you it will be looked into and then the next thing the expect you to just forget about it. How about the manager who doesn’t carry out 1-2-1 for a new team member until they have reached their 3rd month because they were busy chasing the other staff member who they think can do all the work. If you don’t carry out regular monthly assessment how do one know where they are lagging. So much to say about this company. But all I would say is

friendly team and tradesmen good banter good holiday good sick pay good maternity/paternity

a lot of pressure put on team for not a lot of pay, higher management (director level+) have not got a clue what is happening on the ground, stripped everyone of bonuses and incentives and expect you to work like dogs without offering overtime
