The day that I knew for certain I needed to quit working at ESI (although there were already signs including gender-based wage discrimination, verbal abuse by partners, and terrible management) was the day they called all Directors into the conference room and told us that they did not have enough money to pay us on time that pay period. Not only is that illegal, they offered no apologies, just told us to delay our student loan payments or credit card payments if we had them upcoming. Completely out of touch in addition to illegal practices.
