Pros

Decent pay and generally nice people to be around

Cons

While the company is growing and improving in the aspect of sales. They have some issues with management and the turnover is constant. Overall very inefficient, and unless you are in sales working extremely hard is not appreciated in the right manner. While the CEO is great, it unfortunately seems that most of the management has not been properly placed or trained for their roles.

Pros

I'm going on 4 years at Edgenet and want to give you a clear understanding into what you can expect working at Edgenet. This company has a startup mentality and is always moving at a quick pace. Does this sometimes pose challenges? Absolutely, especially as we are continually adapting and trying new ideas/processes. The company and most leaders try their best to not play whack-a-mole but there are some weeks where it occurs. However, what remains constant is that best idea will always win at Edgenet. This is an environment where you can bring a new idea, regardless of your title and/or responsibilities within the company and the company will give it a try. There is no such thing as "this is the way we've always done it" at Edgenet. Because of this, new or updated processes/product enhancements are always being rolled out and it can be a challenge to keep up. If you prefer being in a large corporate environment where you spend much of your day in a cubicle with little engagement with other departments, this is not the place for you. Every department, albeit sales, customer success, marketing, product, etc. is engaging with each other various times throughout the day. You will be working with various personalities and it is key that you are able to adapt to those different stakeholders throughout the company. Most of our exec leadership, especially our CEO and EVP come from a sales background. Keeping our current customers and earning the right to grow with them is the foundational goal of Edgenet. Everyone at Edgenet, regardless of their role, has responsibilities that align with these goals. Our leadership team makes it very clear to everyone that the goal of this company is growth. Those that are promoted and given bonuses/raises are those that go above and beyond for the betterment of the company, not just themselves. Those that do not exceed expectations, but still meet them, are typically not promoted. This is a challenging environment. There is no doubt about that. However, if you are looking for a place that challenges you, empowers you to create and control your environment and recognizes you for your accomplishments, this is the place for you.

Cons

Continual process changes; lack of PTO policy allows some employees to abuse; Minimal parking spaces available

Pros

Edgenet has always had one thing going for them… the people. It’s been a rough couple of years, but with new executives, a business model that works, and a new outlook on opportunities, Edgenet has a chance for real success. Previously, it was easy to get lost in the company or trapped in a niche. With the change in ownership, all employees have been asked to voice their opinions, make change, and do something bigger and better. Ideas and opinions are welcome and actually encouraged, no matter what level you are at. The technology is cutting edge. There aren’t many companies that do what we do. And I honestly believe we are better than our competition. We have products to be proud of. Office-wide functions and social events are allowing employees to be recognized for their accomplishments and network outside of their teams.

Cons

Edgenet is still a small, private company which comes with its own challenges. A lot is expected of each employee. This may not be a “con” for most people, but for those who only want to work from the hours of 8-5 and put in minimal effort – this company is probably not for you.
