Pros

They will promote within the company

Cons

Does not offer mentoring and training to maintenance staff. Therefore they do not have the skills to support the property. Will promote staff that is not ready, just to fill a opening. Then all hell breaks loose.

Thank you for your input and feedback. We appreciate your years of contributions as well as the recognition of our commitment to promote from within. With regard to your other comments, we are disappointed that you didn’t observe or experience the support we strive to provide to all of our team members. True, we look to engage knowledgeable and skilled employees who are practiced in their craft, yet there are always opportunities to learn new skills and grow through coaching, cross-training, on-the-job experience, and guidance from skilled subject matter experts. We are also disappointed that we did not have the opportunity to hear or address your concerns while you were still with us, and we regret that the time you spent at Edgewood was not a completely positive experience for you. The company puts much time, investment and effort into ensuring we have great associates at all levels and strong teams of both on-site and regional/senior managers who support property operational efforts every day. Your input is noted and if you have any other specific recommendations, we invite you to reach out to a member of the Human Resources team. We wish you every success in your future career endeavors.

Pros

For someone coming in with no prior corporate experience they did a great job of teaching me about investment management. Work felt very meaningful and they also introduced us to many products such as the Bloomberg terminal. I was able to network and meet with a lot of great people as well as grow professionally into other areas of interest during a short time there.

Cons

Internship was only for a month, wish I could've been there longer!
