Pros

If you have a big book already you’re good to go Lots of training, mostly paid

Cons

If you are not perfectly shaped to fit in their box, you’re forgotten about and your clients are handed off to another advisor. You need to live close to another advisors office or you won’t get the same opportunities or treatment as those that do. Never reimbursed me for my last expense. Too many departments, always passing the buck back and forth, you get the run around. Took almost 7 months to get aprinter working properly. The tech is frustrating and out dated, with tech support being abysmal. All support from the “home office” is mediocre at best. Never got reimbursed for the last seminar I paid for out of my pocket.

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
