Pros

Best reasons to work at Jones is their flexibility with family committments. Firm also gives FA their own office and an office administrator. Also have diversification trips that FA's can win if they sell a certain amount of diversified portfolio products. Ranked #2 on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For.

Cons

Don't have the capacity to support HNW investors. Discourage FA's from prospecting in areas where HNW investors reside. Firm seems to have a low self-image when it comes to serving HNW investors. Average account size natiowide for Jones FA's is only $50,000. Top producing FA's at Jones would only be mid-level at larger national wirehouses.

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
