Pros

Branch team is usually two people (more are added when household's increase) If you find the right FA who is willing to build the branch together, the team will succeed. Joneslink is a great tool to have for all BOAs.

Cons

Salary! Edward Jones pays the support staff the lowest in the industry. Health and Dental benefits are terrible (highest copays and out of pocket expenses) Your salary and bonus are completely dependent on your FA's rating of you. Commercials only depict FAs and no credit is given to BOA's in any of them. Face it EDJ, you are giving the impression that the FAs do it all. You need to show how much the home office and the BOA's do for the clients. BOA's partnership offerings are a joke since you have to pay into them first.

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
