Great colleagues and travel, but lack of direction - Art Director Egg Events Employee Review

Pros

Great colleagues, flexibility through remote work. The people were one of the strongest parts of the experience.

Cons

The company struggles with clear strategic direction, with priorities and decisions seeming to shift frequently. Leadership can feel reactive rather than consistent, which creates uncertainty across teams. While ‘togetherness’ and collaboration are emphasized in messaging, the day-to-day culture does not always reflect those values.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are really pleased to hear that you valued your colleagues and the flexibility of remote working. The people and the way teams collaborate are a very important part of what we try to build. We also hear your comments around clarity of direction and consistency. As a growing international company, priorities can sometimes evolve as we respond to different opportunities and challenges. That said, we understand how important it is for teams to feel aligned and well informed, and this is something we continue to work on. We also take your reflection on our values seriously. Making sure there is a clear link between what we stand for and how this is experienced day to day is something we care about and actively focus on. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. We wish you all the best for the future.

Pros

* Strong company culture: The work environment is generally positive, with a supportive and engaged community. * Many teams push creative and effective solutions, demonstrating impressive adaptability. * 4.5-day workweek: promotes work-life balance. * Inspirational leadership: Angelique provides vision and motivation, driving forward ambitious goals.

Cons

* Regional units feel isolated: The same level of project quality and support isn’t extended equally across all teams. * Lack of commitment to remote work experience: Fully remote employees, especially newcomers, receive minimal effort in onboarding and integration. * C-level leadership operates behind glass walls: Key decisions about employees' futures often feel arbitrary and lack transparency. * Years of strategic indecision: The lack of strong direction results in shifting priorities and uncertainty for employees.

Thank you for sharing such thoughtful and detailed feedback, we really appreciate it. We’re so glad to hear that our culture, creativity, and the vision from leadership resonate with you. The 4.5-day workweek trial is something we’re especially excited about, and it’s great to see it already making a positive impact on work-life balance. That said, you’ve raised some important points. We know there’s work to do in creating a more consistent experience across regional teams and making sure remote onboarding feels just as connected and supportive. Transparency and clearer strategic direction from leadership are also priorities we’re actively focusing on. Your insights help us grow, so thank you for speaking up :-) we’re listening.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the flexibility of working from home. Creating ways of working that support flexibility is something we really value. On the other hand of course we’re sorry to hear that your experience around pay and workload did not feel positive. These are important areas for us, and we continue to review and adjust how we structure roles and support teams to ensure a more balanced and sustainable experience. Thank you again for your contribution during your time with us, and we wish you all the best for the future.
