Pros

Great culture and support for employees. They are making a good effort to take care of people and listen to their concerns. You can't beat the mid-western friendliness.

Cons

The whole underlying strategy of Eide Bailly is to dangle the carrot of becoming a "partner" in front of staff for a decade or more and hope that it will motivate them to keep working on difficult projects with mediocre pay. There are three problems with that strategy: 1) You can make a lot more money joining a hot startup than you can hope to make becoming a partner in some distant year 2) There is no defined path to partnership 3) Technology consultants cannot become equity partners anyway since they aren't CPAs. The best consultants are leaving for better pay and equity at growing companies. Clients are recognizing the talent drain. And they are going to ask for lower rates that correspond with the people available.

Having a strong culture and opportunities to grow are things we care deeply about, and we are happy to see that reflected in your experience. We also know that recent changes, including the move to private equity, can create some uncertainty. Our focus on culture, leadership, and how we work together day to day remains consistent, and we’re continuing to focus on communication and supporting our teams as we move forward. Thanks for sharing your perspective and for everything you contribute to the firm.

Pros

Good amount of holidays and PTO. Lifestyle spending account and remote work were great.

Cons

In an attempt to get me to leave, little by little, my job duties were taken over by others in the department. Partners let this happen and did nothing to help me. Eventually, they eliminated my role. I documented multiple instances where the work environment was incredibly toxic but no one cared. HR never even contacted me for an exit interview. My experience was that if you did not fit into the boys club you would not succeed. There was a culture of micro-aggressions, cruelty, and badmouthing others when they weren't in the room and excluding anyone who did not fit their views.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear that aspects like time off, our Lifestyle Spending, and flexibility stood out positively during your time with us. We also recognize the seriousness of the concerns you’ve shared around your experience and workplace environment. These are never experiences we want for our team members, and feedback like this is important as we continue to evaluate how we support our people and strengthen a culture rooted in respect and inclusion. We will look into this. We wish you the best in your next chapter.
