Pros

Great PTO Remote work Supportive team structure Excellent resources and technical systems Organized

Cons

Eide Bailly has your typical corporate structure where you must spend X amount of years in a position before you are deemed worthy to move up versus being based on skill level/merit. Teams appear to be helpful at first until at some point a switch flips and you’re no longer meeting their needs. They utilize an nonsensical PIP system to remove people they claim don’t fit standards. I saw 3 people in my department leave for this reason during my time there. Partners do a poor job of mitigating team member stress. Partners keep people around who bring in business but are terrible to work with and make large errors. Pay is low for such a large company. During my initial phone screen with the recruiter, she tried to negotiate me down 20k from market rate. There is no bonus program for anyone who isn’t a partner. Partners receive fat bonuses but they neglect everyone else. Expect tax and audit to be the stars of the show. The remote work policy can be revoked by your manager at anytime. There is a lot of work they will throw upon your plate. There are subtle expectations to work 50 hour minimum work week.

Pros

Good amount of holidays and PTO. Lifestyle spending account and remote work were great.

Cons

In an attempt to get me to leave, little by little, my job duties were taken over by others in the department. Partners let this happen and did nothing to help me. Eventually, they eliminated my role. I documented multiple instances where the work environment was incredibly toxic but no one cared. HR never even contacted me for an exit interview. My experience was that if you did not fit into the boys club you would not succeed. There was a culture of micro-aggressions, cruelty, and badmouthing others when they weren't in the room and excluding anyone who did not fit their views.
