Pros
We have a really good externally facing brand and image. It makes it appear to be a great career path and cool to be a part of.
Cons
Behind the scenes, it’s the exact opposite. It’s like an underwater iceberg, with all of the issues hidden under the surface. On a daily basis, all staff can expect to be belittled, disrespected, lied to, over worked, and meant to feel like a failure by the CEO. All problems are scapegoated to other staff, and there is no accountability on the leader. But whats worse, they will deem themselves to be a terrific leader, but not practice any habits they require others to implement. Staff end up scared and falling in line, quitting, or being fired if they gently push back. Its not a suitable place for a serious career.
