Pros
1. It's a fun place for a start, with a good team to work along. 2. Biology, data science, and technology is a niche domain and is bound to boom. 3. They work on the latest technology stacks and use open source.
Cons
1. CTO is a sweet kid and a lollygag. But if you take the chocolate away, he bursts like a bomb causing catastrophic damage to employees and the company. He might be a good boss but has substandard leadership qualities. 2. HR and people's management are non-professional and are nincompoops. Salaries and other forms of compulsions are often late with a feeble excuse. 3. Gears like laptops are godawful and worthless with no support to fix or replace them. A hilarious instance was when the company was trying to sell chairs to employees already facing pay cuts. 4. Upper management is a set of jerks. They are too inexperienced to handle and manage teams/projects. After all, they are just freshers causing bumfuzzle. 5. Engineering leaders are too naive and amateur. They make stupid decisions based on the infinitesimally small knowledge they possess. Planing never involves long-term thinking. The business model is taradiddle depending on the cheap engineering workforce. So engineers are neither expected nor forced to build and innovate.
