Pros

Working at English solutions was a fun and worthwhile experience. Although the method at this school can be challenging at times, it is without a doubt a very effective and beneficial way to teach English to non-native speakers. The students at this school are very friendly and eager to learn. As this was my first teaching experience, my colleagues at the time were very helpful in any questions I had involving teaching English. The location of this school is in the heart of Vigo so there is plenty to do in your free time. Management was always available to give support and advice when needed.

Cons

Working hours can be a little unsociable which is to be expected in all academies or after work/school centres.

Pros

Most of the students are nice.

Cons

The negative reviews here are spot on. The manager is blatantly and obviously posting fake 5 star reviews online, and pretending that former staff members never worked there. Every fake review follows that same format, mentions the same things, in the same tone. The methodology has been poorly copied/stolen from Vaughan Schools. It's like a bad dream, an alternate reality. Staff have been forced to leave for their own sanity, many accruing debt along the way as you're never paid what is promised. I would like to go on but it would sound unrealistic about just HOW BADLY this school is run.

Pros

Classrooms are kept spotless. Other teachers are nice.

Cons

Constant lies about everything, about the hours, about the holiday pay, about the contract. Barely anything you get told in the job interview turns out to be true. There's supposedly a "bonus" for completing the year, but it's conditional on achieving completely arbitrary goals set by the manager and it seems as though he's never actually paid it out. There's someone new starting every five minutes, someone either quits or gets fired (for very dubious reasons) every couple of weeks, so it feels like there's zero job security. There's absolutely no vetting of any of these new hires either, so you'll get a classroom full of five-year-olds being cared for by a random foreigner who just landed a couple of days previously, has had no background checks done, and who speaks no Spanish whatsoever.
