Pros

There are some really great people working there.

Cons

Immature leadership, lack of action, teams have issues collaborating. It’s common that c-levels yell at or diminish their employees. Very weird culture, where highly specialised experts are hired but not trusted to do their jobs.

Pros

Enode has been a really refreshing place to work 🙂. The remote-first setup actually gives me the flexibility to spend more time doing the things I care about outside of work, like playing sports and being involved in my community (I struggled with this when I had a fully in-person role). We also meet up at least three times a year in person, and those gatherings are always energizing. Onboarding is well thought-through. I had both a technical buddy and someone from the commercial side to help me get up to speed, and the first couple of weeks were really well structured. After that, onboarding continued with my manager at a good pace, giving me time to go deeper and get confident in my role. The bottom line is... the people here are sharp, motivated, and open. Everyone is great about sharing what they’re working on and what they’re learning, which makes it easy to grow and stay connected even across borders. The engineering team in particular has a wide range of backgrounds and strengths - it’s a group that feels ready to tackle anything.

Cons

Like many small, remote companies, Enode doesn’t offer every benefit you might find at a bigger local employer, but the compensation is strong, and leadership is transparent about tradeoffs. It’s also a lean team, and I sometimes wish we had a few more teammates to share the load and scale the impact.
