Pros

Good healthcare coverage Free lunches

Cons

In my entire career, I have never worked anywhere where management would be the sole demise of a company. Based on what I witnessed, the current CEO and Head of HR will truly take this company down due to naivety and apathy. Epirus had the makings of being one of my favorite places to work. I used to laugh daily and was challenged by the tech. What I was promised when I accepted my position ended up not being true, but I stuck it out because I really enjoyed my colleagues. C-Suite a.k.a. Executive Leadership Team (ELT) scratch each others backs and cover for each other as they stumble through inexperience. The nepotism is outlandish as ELT hired 2 high-level friends with enormous salaries and stock options…and followed those hires with a 50 person cut to the company. They also refuses to take ownership over the recent problems as their favorite scapegoat is the former CEO, who left in Dec of 2022, which ALL can see is simply untrue. The hypocrisy runs rampant with demands of being in the office while the ELT are remote and flying first class back and forth across the country to “stop by” the office when they feel like it. The CEO is famous for leaving before major company announcements to zoom in and reading a speech written for him. It is also widely known that few can trust HR and the head is so busy pandering to those in charge, they are incapable of providing proper guidance. This also seems difficult due to their lack of former experience. Epirus has become a shell of the company it once was. With 2 poorly handled layoffs in the last 6 months, the only hope for the remaining folks is to get acquired by a capable company that understands how to run a business. Such a true shame.

Pros

A few enjoyable people and groups to work with, free lunch, benefits.

Cons

Turnover is noticeable, morale can fluctuate significantly, and communication from leadership often lacks the transparency needed to help employees understand where the company is headed. The technology is exciting, but the company would benefit from stronger accountability, clearer strategic direction, better people leadership, and a culture that prioritizes developing and retaining talent. Employee concerns may or may not get addressed and it seems that if you don’t catch on with shifting priorities or goals you’re iced out and left to figure it out. You’ll notice managers and higher titles folks can’t do the jobs of their direct reports yet often criticize the most.
