Highly political environment in corporate. If you have been there for a long time you don't have to work much and are protected. If you are newer you take on the bulk of the work and are held to completely different standards and expectations. If you manage up well, you will probably do well here. If you are the kind of person who focuses on doing a good job and doesn't play the political game you will not be appreciated.
