Pros

Co-workers! The Gamemasters are fun and treat you like family as soon as you start.

Cons

DRAMA. 99.8% of the drama that happens here is usually done at the hands of the Mangement team. I haven't been here long, but I hear that this place used to actually be a great place to work. But recently, people are quitting or getting fired or retaliated against for offering their opinion. They can also overwork some of their employees; having them act in multiple roles ( game master, manager, host, special events) in a single shift but paying them for one. Like what is going on? Managment pretends like they are your friend and want the best for you. but are hostile to you when you bring up a concern. And the employees that have worked here longer get in trouble for complaining in front of us newbies because it doesn't foster a "positive work environment" Where's the freedom of speech? And what did I sign on to? Glad I'm only here for the break.

Pros

They definitely care about you and do the best to adjust to any scheduling problems. You’re treated like family.

Cons

Although, the scheduling is pretty open, if you ask for a set schedule, it may not always be as consistent as needed.

Pros

Relaxed work environment, somewhat flexible schedule (which I would not consistently consider to be a “pro”)

Cons

- Bad pay. Was promised minimum wage and then a $1 increase after a 30 day probationary period. 5 months later, realized this increase hadn’t occurred and talked to the manager about it. He said that he never added it since I didn’t “ask” for it. I have never been expected to ask for the promised and contracted pay from a company - Unsafe. I can think of 2-3 times where someone walked through the front door and straight through the back, likely casing for robbery. One of my coworkers was mildly electrocuted by a game component on the job; she was not sent home or checked in on but sent back to work. - Shifts randomly cut. Day of, night before, an hour before start time. Store would also frequently close early on weeknights. - Passive aggressive text messages on Slack, rather than just speaking directly to someone - Rude clientele. Not exactly in the control of the company, but management was on the side of “the customer is always right”. - Would randomly be scheduled when I had no availability or requested off (and had been approved for those days off). Would get my phone blown up on a vacation I had given 2 months of notice for, because I had been scheduled the entire time.
