Pros

Etsy, as a company, takes care of their employees. We have pretty decent medical benefits, PTO, extended leave, sick time, etc. The company's executive team seems to really care about the success of the company and it's employees.

Cons

My org seems to behave in a way that isn't Etsy-aligned, so there aren't may cons to Etsy as a whole — just seems like the executive team's vision is felt across all of the company.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We’re glad that our focus on competitive benefits and caring for our employees has positively impacted your time with us. However, we’re concerned to hear your comment about your department operating and being managed in a way that doesn’t feel ‘Etsy-aligned.’ Management and HR are trained and available to support any employee who feels that Etsy’s standards of management and support may not have been upheld, and we encourage you to reach out to your HR Business partner – whose information you can find on the Intraknit – for confidential assistance. We hope this step will help.

Pros

Empathetic, smart people in a lot places.

Cons

Senior leadership has changed alot in the years since the pandemic highs and it's not quite stabilized. Overvalued executors and undervalued those with high EQ and people leadership. Promoted executors into senior roles and then they floundered and exited, or worse they chased away better potential fits for those roles who were overlooked.

Pros

cool culture flexible work arrangements, decent pay, cool work.

Cons

outsourcing everything they can, selling all they can for parts, its a sinking ship of a company. keep in mind that they spend more on labor in Mexico city than in USA! What a sham! should be taken off US Stock exchange for that! Loosing users at a steady rate year of year. I'd avoid. no growth opportunity. Not brand vision.
