Pros

Decent Salary, flexible schedule, exciting concept

Cons

This company is so poorly managed it is sad. Could be a great company, but needs a mature company to buy them up and get rid of bloated senior management. They have senior leaders jetting around the country like royalty, while they have employees working 60-70 hours a week, scared every day that they will be the next layoff victim. Evariant is so dependent on their sales to stay afloat, one quarter they are hiring people and having catered lunches, and the very next quarter when they lose a client, they are laying people off and ruining peoples lives, while their senior leaders don't seem to slow up on their travels and extravagant spending.

Thanks for your feedback and I am sorry that your experience working at Evariant was a negative one. Having been with the company for three years, I am sure that you experienced many of the highs and lows that are typical with a young, growing company. Many of the decisions around spending and our workforce are made with a lot of thought and consideration behind them and are never based on the loss of one particular client. As we continue to grow, there are often times when we need to reassess our organizational structure and the skill set we will need to help the company continue to advance. As you are aware, there was a pretty broad control on travel, which included the executive team. Each request to travel was reviewed by Finance and the CEO to assure that it was necessary, client-related and needed. Finance is also very close to the overall spending for all employees and there has been a significant improvement to not only the process, but the actual amount that we spend on overall employee expenses and travel. Again, I am sorry that you left the company after three years feeling the way you do. Layoffs and cutting back on company perks are not decisions that are made or taken lightly and I believe we do our best to ensure that they are handled in a compassionate and thoughtful way. I also believe the Evariant continues to provide many great benefits and perks to our employees. I hope that during some of your time at Evariant, you were able to gain valuable skills, experiences and friendships. Mary Donahue Senior Director, Human Resources

Pros

Evariant has great people who care about the company and their customers. While the company has transformed over the years from a start up to now a larger company it has not been without growth pains. The new CEO who started over a year ago in early 2017 and the leadership team are helping keep the best of the past while also creating a positive culture looking ahead. The increased transparency and communication has been refreshing. Events like the company meeting were well produced and highlighted the employees and customers that make the company a great place to work. Regular company town halls, department celebrations and parties have created a work hard / play hard culture and is helping foster cross functional collaboration which had been a challenge historically. The company is also very differentiated and a market leader in healthcare marketing- both from a technology perspective and from a people knowledge perspective. The new Patients for Life platform launch really seemed thought out and resonated that Evariant can really make a difference in healthcare. I really like the challenge to be a trusted advisor to our customers.

Cons

The company is still has some growing pains. Probably not unlike many tech companies. Their is a lot of change (mostly positive) but change is change and can be hard.
