Pros

- Smart, supportive team. You won't find better people than the team at Evernym, period. - Small company with very approachable leadership. It's easy to get to know basically the entire company. - Huge potential upside. Evernym really does have the potential to change the world, and reap the monetary benefits that come with that. - Interesting work. The work here is fun and challenging. - Can't speak to full time employee salaries, but for an intern the pay is competitive. Other Notes: Evernym really isn't a blockchain company in my opinion, and that's a good thing. Blockchain is the least interesting part of Evernym's business. Also Timothy Ruff isn't the CEO anymore so I'm not sure why he's still listed. The new CEO is Steve Havas.

Cons

- Working for any startup is a risk. The potential rewards are worth it, in my opinion, but this will depend on individual circumstance and how risk averse you are. - Engineers can be very busy, particularly around release time.

Pros

Evernym has a great story

Cons

Unfortunately, it's just that - a story. I enjoy the people I'm working with but as far as a career opportunity is concerned, it wasn't a good move looking back in retrospect. I wish I had taken another opportunity I had at the time. The leadership for Evernym has not made good on all the hype and promises they used to entice me and others to join the company. I don't see the revenue growth or traction that was promised. Management is not realistic about the business opportunities, and I'm now convinced they don't know how to focus on and monetize the best opportunities. They'll take anything from anybody, which has everyone running in circles. Complete dysfunction and chaos. No discipline, no roadmap, no focus.

Sigh.... It is messy introducing revolutionary technology to the world, but contrary to what this reviewer wrote, we are now in an enviable position of leadership in what will be a trillion-dollar industry of identity, trust establishment, and trusted peer-to-peer interactions. We have always shared our grandest ambitions with prospective employees because they truly are our ambitions; and we have not strayed from them, despite many opportunities to do something easier, something safer. If you want to work for a conservative company that's not trying to literally change the world, Evernym is not the place to be. As for dysfunction, ask any Evernym employee if that is true and listen to their answer. Hectic yes, even chaotic at times as we're grappling with extraordinarily complex technical challenges and decisions, but not dysfunctional. What we've accomplished in 2017, both technically and market traction, is breathtaking. As for the lack of a roadmap... no one has a map of uncharted waters. But if you look at where we've come from, where we are, and where our current trajectory of customer traction leads, any objective measurement would show that we have plotted our course extremely well.
