Pros
The management training program is extremely hands on. For someone like me, who learns by doing, this position is great for learning leadership, training and business skills. There is always something new and the growth potential is phenomenal. The office culture is awesome. I played sports in the past and I love the team dynamic. Everyone is invested in everyone else's success so that creates a positive but still competitive environment. There is also a great support structure throughout the larger organization. If you are willing to network, there is always someone willing to teach you something new. With EMG, I've had the opportunity to travel, teach and make personal decisions (with guidance of course) in a very short amount of time. If you're looking for a position with room to grow with people that will push you to improve yourself, this is the job for you.
Cons
Because this is a management position, it does require some flexibility in order to adapt to various situations. If your are used to an hourly position, it may take a while to adjust to the expectations of this company. If you're not not self-motivated or willing to learn new ways of doing things, this isn't going to be the job for you. It takes a specific kind of person to be successful at this position, so I recommend asking lots of questions during the interview process to see if it is a good fit for you.
