Pros

You get 7 free nights a year to travel...

Cons

Ha! Where do I begin?! Upper management could care less about anything else but numbers. “Hey, I want you to run this multimillion dollar property but I’m going to give you the absolute bare minimum monthly to run it.” Control your labor at all costs! Even if that means you, as a manager, need to cover desk shifts and do doubles but don’t you dare forget to do your manager duties! Let’s post on Craigslist to see if we can get business because everyone on Craigslist is trustworthy and the type of people we want here. Need some maintenance done? Put in a work order, we’ll get that fixed for you in about 6-8 months. Upper management doesn’t care if you’re on your last legs pleading for dear life, make it work. You’ll have absolutely no life to your own. Dare you get this job and have children or decide to start a family — you’ll have to choose one of them. The Kai process is such a joke but they stress that it works because it did when they were in operations like 20 years ago.

Pros

Great leadership from management! My GM has really taken me under her wing and ensures I have all the knowledge & tools available to be the best I can be. She goes above and beyond for the entire staff, consistently shows her gratitude, and never asks anything of the staff that she isn’t willing to do herself! Customer service is my favorite line of work and the only work I’ve ever done. ESA is my first hotel job, and I feel so at home with the company. When I was initially hired, I was just looking for a way to make ends meet. I’ve been with ESA for over 90 days now, and I have grown to love being a part of this company. I am in it for the long haul, and look forward to growing with this company and advancing my career!

Cons

I have no cons. My employment so far has been amazing!
