F5 has a really unique friendly and cooperative culture. We sell the best networking gear - highly respected and loved by customers. Our leadership is solid - Mr. McAdam is a legend here - navigating us through the high seas of the technology changes that we keep seeing. I love it.
Cons
Our market continues to be commoditized at the low end. We tend to invest behind revenue, versus taking the risks to invest ahead of revenue. The result is that F5 doesn't take big risks - which can be good or bad depending on your perspective. It's like the difference between investing in stocks and bonds. F5 is a bond - in the sense that there is little fluctuation or risk up or down. Other technology vendors can be like stocks, higher risks up or down. You need both obviously.
