Cons

Company culture is around having pointless meetings that could be a simple chat message or email. The company annual or semi-annual meetings are basically an excuse to have leadership think they are giving employees input. There are many times when leadership makes decisions and does not let employees know those decisions have been made until they are ready to implement (day of implementation). Weekly and bi-weekly town hall meetings are also a joke and do not really offer valuable information to their employees.

I recently joined FMT and love the fast-paced environment. There is an intentional focus in customer engagement and satisfaction, investing in employee training & development, and experimentation in finding ways to better serve customers and grow the business.

Cons

Fast-paced and agile, so you need to be nimble to thrive!

Pros

FMT is a small company that is fun and flexible. They have great benefits, including vacation, sick, health benefits (medical, dental, vision, chiro, disability and life). They have very limited turnover and are always looking for innovative ways to solve problems and adapt to the changing environment. Located in Lake Oswego on the river in a beautiful building with free parking!

Cons

Outside the city so commuting by car is the only real transit option. Small staff means sometimes you are asked to take on more than your normal workload, which can be overwhelming if that isn’t the environment you thrive in.
