Pros

- work from home - set your own hours - competitive salary

Cons

It is difficult to overstate how much I regret leaving my previous employer to help Facet pursue its mission. This review is through the lens of the sales team, and I can not speak to other departments within the company. As you read other reviews and consider their legitimacy, ask yourself if someone who thinks their employer is a 5-star company would only use a handful of words to describe why they feel that way. I would personally spend more time than that to describe why I love a company so much that I'd give it 5/5. One of the first things you are told is that, because you are not cold-calling, the leads you receive are highly qualified and ready to make a purchasing decision. In my experience, that was not the reality. Facet's advertising is intentionally vague, and pricing is withheld until prospects are already on the phone with a salesperson. A significant portion of my conversations began with prospects saying they did not actually understand what Facet did and simply wanted more information. The company also continuously markets "limited-time" discounts, creating pressure on prospects to make impulse decisions. This works against you way more often than it works for you. Another major concern was lead distribution. It became increasingly apparent that management was funneling opportunities in a highly uneven manner. Favorable treatment of certain salespeople seemed to result in dramatically better opportunities, while others were left working substantially lower-quality leads. It became a game of mine to track the same favored individuals suddenly generate more sales in the final few days of a month than they had during the entire period leading up to it. Prioritizing stronger performers is understandable. However, the disparity in lead quality was so significant that sales results often appeared to reflect access to opportunities more than sales ability. I would normally suggest seeking guidance from experienced teammates, but turnover was so high that when I left, fewer than 15% of the sales organization had been with the company for more than six months. I have worked for multiple organizations throughout my career and have never felt compelled to leave a negative review. However, I believe prospective employees deserve an honest account of my experience. If you choose to join Facet's sales team, my advice is simple: avoid questioning management, align yourself with the individuals that leadership favors, and hope you are among those who receive the opportunities needed to succeed.

Cons

Very fast paced There is no hiding if you want to just go with the flow in your role Leadership is never happy beating targets, you have to then beat those numbers the next month.

Cons

A TRUE SCAM SALES JOB. Positive reviews written about this role are 100% written by management. 90% of reps will never see a single commission! Only 5 reps have been here longer than a year…Here’s the truth about working in this role at Facet: -70% Sales floor: You don’t get paid any commission at all unless you hit the 70% floor on a very high monthly quota. Most reps never see a single commission check. Imagine being a salesperson and making sales but never getting paid for them. Thats how facet works! Scam. -Rigged Lead System: Leads are funneled to the highest converters first (that’s fair). However, they run out of leads each day! That means if you aren’t a top 10 converting rep in your very first month, you will never hit quota because it’s actually impossible to get any more leads! This is why most reps never make any money here! -Extreme turnover: only 5 reps out of 30 have been here longer than a year. Most have been here less than 6 months! This is due to extreme quotas + no commission checks + rigged leads. If you don’t want to job hunt again in 6 months, avoid this scammy role at all costs. A few people even quit during training because they see how rigged it is. “Training” is one week long. Have i mentioned that you’re encouraged to work weekends in order to hit your quota? An absolute masterclass in employee development by the facet team indeed. But hey, don’t take my word for it - go ahead and interview and ask about these things in your interview. Or even DM some reps on LinkedIn and ask them about this. If you’re looking for a role where you will never see a commission check, be burned out by the end of month 2, and get lied to about leads: facet is your home!
