Faircape Group Response
10moDear “Anonymous,”
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
While we cannot confirm that you are the author of the anonymous review, the descriptions align strongly with your tenure. Regardless, we want to address your points personally and comprehensively.
First, we disagree with much of what you have stated. It is unfortunate that after acting in ways that negatively impacted your team and the company, you now publicly misrepresent Faircape Group and its culture. This is especially disappointing given the consistent effort we make to create a professional, supportive, and safe workplace - something many of your colleagues can attest to.
Psychological Safety & Culture
We work hard to create an environment where employees can speak up, ask questions, and share ideas. Multiple channels exist for raising concerns: through managers, HR, and formal grievance processes. Psychological safety is a two-way street: while Faircape Group provides support and open channels, we expect employees to engage constructively, contribute positively, and act responsibly. Unfortunately, your own actions during your tenure directly disrupted team dynamics, created unnecessary tension, and undermined the very culture we aim to maintain and which you perceivably stated to be important to you?
Leadership & Decision-Making
It is easy to criticise transparency, but your review misrepresents reality. Leadership communicates decisions clearly wherever possible, and we value diversity of thought. This is one of the reasons Faircape Group has successfully operated for 41 years. Constructive feedback is encouraged, but it must be communicated respectfully and through proper channels. Choosing to bypass these channels and raise issues publicly in this way undermines both your own credibility and the team.
Management Conduct
Faircape Group has zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, or intimidation. All allegations are taken seriously and investigated. That said, exaggerating or misrepresenting interactions publicly is misleading and unfair. It is important to note that the disruptions you caused during your employment directly contributed to poor team morale, yet you are now the one publicly criticising the company.
Career Development & Recognition
Faircape is committed to supporting growth, mentorship, and recognition. Throughout your tenure, you were provided guidance, opportunities, and acknowledgment, all of which your review fails to recognise. It is disappointing to see these efforts overlooked, especially when the team worked consistently to celebrate contributions and support development.
Workplace Fairness & Respect
Faircape Group values fairness, integrity, and respect. Your public criticism overlooks your own conduct and the responsibilities you held. It is unfortunate that, rather than reflecting on your own actions, you have chosen to portray the company negatively.
We remain committed to maintaining a professional and supportive workplace. Feedback is valuable only when it is constructive, accurate, and communicated through the right channels. While it is regrettable that some individuals choose to criticise publicly after leaving, our focus remains on improvement and providing a workplace where employees can thrive.
Kind regards,
HR, Faircape Group
