Pros
BCBAs have responsibility of their schedules.
Cons
Highly do not recommend. One of the most unethical companies I have worked for & heard of, including every one of their locations. In the Colorado Springs location, they don’t even watch their clients. The RBTs just hang out & let clients go into rooms by themselves, so of course there are no “behaviors,” because they aren’t receiving therapy. The RBTs don’t even know who most of the BCBA’s are & rarely see them. In all locations, with the exception of Pueblo Central, none of the targets have details & case transfers are basically unheard of, they’re just dropped in your lap with no collaboration & no transition. They also rely on faulty auto-progressions that are always incorrect & progress the clients before they’re ready. The RBTs are not valued. Data collection is basically unheard of as far as the RBTs taking data, but also BCBAs not collecting IOA data. As you know, we are mandated reporters, but every time we let them know we needed to call & report, they tell you to wait even though you have plenty of documentation, evidence, & concerns involving physical, sexual abuses, neglect, etc. One client was stumbling, dizzy, obviously not doing well at all & had fallen multiple times & the Clinic Manager told the staff not to send him home until something "serious," happened. The higher ups don’t respond to concerns in a professional manner. As soon as they hear a rumor or hearsay, they immediately reprimand that person without getting the full story or multiple witnesses. The same is done for the attendance policy, they send verbal warnings automatically without talking to the RBTs first about what is going on. While I was there, there were 2 who missed work because they were grieving the deaths of loved ones, & another who got sick because the centers keep accepting clients in the centers with symptoms. One RBT was scared to ask for the time she needed to get tested to find out if she could donate a kidney to her brother. One of the higher ups in charge of “diversity & inclusion,” believes that just because she is Latina, she can tell you whether or not you have/are experiencing microagressions & discrimination in the workplace. The higher ups are really good at gaslighting you & convincing you that you are the problem. One BCBA got in trouble for apologizing to a couple of parents & clarifying misunderstandings. Because she did that, they refused to extend her resignation date when she found out closing on her house was going to take longer. Because she apologized! She & the other BCBAs who put in their resignations & maintained a professional demeanor despite the issues were all pushed out to leave very quickly. The Clinic Managers are never present, never respond to emails, & never work their cases or pawn them off on the BCBAs to handle. They never advocate for BCBAs or RBTs. A group of BCBAs had gotten together to advocate for the RBTs, ethical practices such as not forcing eye contact & not targeting stims that are not dangerous or disruptive, responding to frequent cancellations from clients, & more & showed up with a bunch of ideas. Also mentioned having more regular Ethics meetings, listening to neurodivergent voices. They argued & shot down most of the ideas but made one small change that wasn’t a big difference at all as if to say “here you go, now be quiet.” Most of those BCBAs, who were basically the only good BCBAs at the entire company, have since left & more are planning to leave. Two BCBAs declined the offers they received to work with the company. They expect 31.5 billable hours & pack your caseload to unfeasible numbers, & even though they don't have the staff, they continue to do assessments & bring on more clients & create long waitlists. The turnover rate for RBTs is extremely high as well, & not because that’s how it is in the field- because they are miserable & treated so poorly! For example, the benefits are garbage & take up almost entire paychecks for the RBTs, they can't afford them.
