Pros
Co-workers were always willing to help you if you had questions and were very understanding when it came to the complexity of the job. Pay was decent. All equipment for the job would be provided to you. Work schedule Monday - Friday with weekends off. Overtime available once your claims build up (depends on your supervisor) decent training program depending on the number of people who got hired from your group. If they hired less than six new hires you would get stuck watching modules at your desk.
Cons
MICRO managed to the extreme. Once your on someone’s poop list you will be under a microscopes and picked up. You will feel like you are being backed into a corner and no matter what you do there nothing to make things better. Adjusters are overworked and are under constant stress. You get reassigned claims and some are very old and are terrible. As a liability adjuster you also are responsible for seeing what you pay for injuries and there’s no real direction on how to do the job except “it comes with time”. You get assigned a mentor but they too are swamped with work that they don’t have the time to be able to assist you. Your supervisor will ride you on why things were done a certain way and anytime you try to explain yourself it be considered defensive. Once your on their radar, consider packing your bag. They say we want to set you up for success but they add more assignments and stress on you and then ask why your behind in work. They are sneaky when it comes to doing things and just push people so they could quit on their own. They promote a inclusion model but have issues when someone who isn’t from the same background starts working in their office. If your supervisor has to adjust or do anything extra because someone needs more help they will punish you with a smile. I never felt so happy to get a job and then see everything crash and burn week by week. The program the company uses for claims is terrible and not user friendly.
