Pros
Farmers hires really great people. Everyone was always willing to help! My supervisors, supervisor was awesome. I can tell that he truly wanted us to succeed within the role. He was constantly answering questions within the group chat and he allowed help for those of us that needed it during the busy season.
Cons
I want to preface this by saying that a claims role in this field is just NOT for me. I absolutely HATED this job. I didn’t learn much in training. My supervisor expected too much from me since the very beginning. I was being compared to others who started at the same time as me (they had YEARS of experience with the company or with property claims in general, I had 0 experience). 3 months after training, my supervisor put me on a plan and then 3 months afterwards I was placed on a verbal (mind you this was during the busy season… MY FIRST BUSY SEASON). I honestly didn’t feel as though I was given time to learn the role, which caused me to be overly stressed. Not only that… the workload and metrics were very unrealistic. I can ask 3 different people the same question and literally get 3 different answers. I was highly micromanaged. At one point my supervisor had me sending screenshots of my diary and VM every morning and evening. I HATED talking to contractors and I HATED talking to the customers. I felt all over the place in this role.
