Pros

Fellow engineers are easy to work with.

Cons

No senior engineers to grow from Eng management does not manage team and work with you on goals, mostly just there to micromanage you. CTO has no interest in pushing tech boundaries resulting in an outdated code stack and no interest in upgrading to newer technologies C-Level management does not engage with engineering team on how to make their lives better, but consistently clamp down with micro managed rules on how engineers need to track how many hours worked and restricting work from home days. Hybrid environment is not hybrid at all with a laundry list of rules that apply. Company vision is poor, with many teams working on products with no customer demand and emphasis on shipping a minimum viable product vs building for success. C-Level execs are all family and friends of family. Leads to less experienced people leading the company and a feeling of nepotism.

Pros

Unlimited snacks provided such as protein shakes and breakfast. Could find lunch options as well (unhealthy)

Cons

During my time at Felix, it became clear that the organization struggles with poor management and a lack of focus on clear goals. Projects were often directionless, with shifting priorities and minimal accountability. The culture leans heavily toward people-pleasing and internal politics, which often took precedence over sound decision-making and team performance. Constructive feedback was rarely acted on, and long-term objectives were overshadowed by short-term appeasement. There’s potential here, but without stronger leadership and a clearer focus on outcomes, it’s difficult for high-performing teams to succeed or grow.
