Pros

Working from home. Benefits are good (not to be confused with salary)

Cons

Overworking our role. Have added fixed income to our plates without warning the role completely changed, very little increase in pay. Unrealistic expectations in numbers. This place has been an absolute disappointment. Took away the tax bonus that once helped us feel better about nonstop queues. It seems like they are adding extra knowing that we are on a brink of recession without options to move elsewhere. When looking for roles internally, the roles want you to have lots and lots of conversations with other team leaders and to shadow people. The time taken to do this is challenging and will effect your numbers for your current role. Fidelity overworks and underpays their employees. At first, morale seemed like it was managed super well. Now they do not seem to really care. Fidelity works within archaic mindsets, if this is not changed they will not remain an industry leader. New roles seem to be white male dominated as well-the decision makers. Someone needs to start keeping a better eye on that.

Pros

Work from home has been great with the recent restrictions, it has been very easy to meet my work responsibilities.

Cons

Work volume has been unrelentingly high and challenging, constant overtime, never ending calls in line, unhappy clients, system outages. It becomes hard to remain optimistic for each and every call. Recent leadership changes have brought imbalances to my team, we have a new leader who does little to nothing until there is a problem, then lashes out with personal attacks. This lack of support makes it feel as though every work day takes place on a battlefield.
