It’s pretty well known when a company says “we’re family” it’s an instant red flag, and in this case the fact that most of the key players in upper management are actually family, says a lot about how Flash Pack operates.
The so called HR department that doesn’t exist is disgusting. Unless you call the CEOs sister an adequate person to be appointed in that role. Her bias and incompetence I witnessed time and time again as people were pulled into meetings they were in no way prepared for only to be told “you’re fired”without any say in the decision either way. They treat their staff as disposable, and everyone fears the day they might randomly get fired like so many that have before them.
They fake their support for mental health and neurodivergence’s, and they will thereafter use this against you as an underperformance tool by telling you you’re just not Flash Pack enough….. whatever that means, because it literally could be anything they choose it to be.
The volume of work outweighs the numbers there to do it all, but don’t say anything about it, as again you will be fired for having a poor attitude.
There is extremely ingrained toxic positivity that comes from your line managers on all levels, and their so called support is only to lull you into a feeling of false sense of security, only to one day proceed to stab you in the back.
Do not expect any form of bonus’ or even a Christmas card. They do not believe in any type of reward system for good work, and they also do not give employees the power of a promotion or raise of you do actually get one. In the time I was there, only 2 people ever got promoted to one level above where they were currently at, and I was there for a significant amount of time. Were these people given a pay rise? The answer I’m sure is already quite obvious.
So if you love being undervalued with zero job security, go work at Flash Pack, you’ll love it. Don’t forget to smile.
