Pros
Operating in a new and exciting industry is fun and adventurous. They allow employees to take cannabis smoke breaks on the job, which is pretty unheard of and cool. They are working on disrupting the industry and have a great product to do so.
Cons
Rampant unprofessionalism at all levels of the organization. Within a month of working with Flowhub I saw a C-Level executive resign, dealt with late payments, and listened to profanity on a regular basis. In one meeting a manager exclaimed "We are going to be so f'ing rich," to me. Really? Because I know that I'm going to bust my behind working and never be rich because I wasn't in from the beginning. This is so immature, I couldn't believe this Product Owner actually said this to me. The CEO is no better, as he even boasted to me about how he had to fire the COO, which according to others, wasn't the case as they had actually resigned. Regardless, that is private and doesn't need to be shared openly with such arrogance. Regarding their work, regular design approach was "Who can we steal from?" Constantly looking to copy design solutions from other brands, namely InVision, Apple, and work from the Envato Marketplace. I suppose this is because everything is on fire, and nothing is clearly mapped out or planned. As a result, the timelines are ridiculous and expectations are unrealistic for one person. Financially, don't expect much. The pay was below average and was met often with problems. Checks came addressed incorrectly, direct deposit took close to a month, and pay frequencies changed according to the will of the CFO. Despite my cordial departure, my final check was postponed 2 weeks despite friendly emails. The only way a response was received regarding the delayed payment was because a Notice of Intended Court Proceedings correspondence was sent out.
