Pros
Remote work is ok but nothing else
Cons
Minimum wage job though you're dealing with serious trauma and suicidal callers. High work load. You have a million little things to remember that don't mean much but they act like you're a criminal if you forget. Written up for everything under the sun. Aggressive team leads that have no empathy or compassion. If you deviate from scripts to offer empathy for a very distressed sick caller you will be told off for going off script. Always low staffed. I have been the only person taking calls for 2 provinces some nights. You can never take a sick day, which is illegal but they don't care. Very little training. They also make you bill calls that were obvious wrong numbers or hang ups, which is a scam of the canadian tax payer. They make you get a callers full info just to answer whether their drs office is open yet which is time wasting and deceptive to the caller.
