Pros

Most fellow employees were friendly and easy to get along with but honestly just being able to get out of the house and have a job to go to were the only pros at this store.

Cons

Poor management. Never enough help scheduled to cover departments. I was hired as a cake decorator exclusively because I only wanted 2-3 days a week but after I was hired I became the department closer and only given 5 hours a week for cake decorating which made doing my job impossible as I was the only one in the department doing any cakes. I quit because I believe in doing the best job possible and due to circumstances beyond my control I could not keep up with keeping cases and freezer filled as required and was tired of being berated for condition of my cases . I was expected to close and do cakes all in 4 -5 hour shift. I had to pull and refill hot bar, wait on customers, answer phone, finish what day shift left undone, tear down all equipment , clean and put back together, throw out all trash, sweep, mop floors and clean drains, fill outer cases and low spots and do cakes. It was just not possible.

Pros

They (management) can be reasonable at times, such as with your breaks and scheduling.

Cons

My current management isn't giving me enough hours to be even decently sustainable, yet they have open-shifts available that they could assign to anyone, so why not give those hours to people who are severely underscheduled? If you want your workers to work for you, treat them right and compensate them fairly, and stop expecting them to come in everytime you text them just because someone else called out, maybe you need to give the people who constantly call out less hours because they aren't being reliable, and you need to give more hours to the people who do come to work and get things done, because they've proven to be reliable and willing to come in on their assigned days.
