Pros

2-day in office Great people surrounding to share the agony of the job Great onboarding and skill development programs

Cons

Constantly having budget issues and being understaffed, teams running without managers like headless snakes. A lot of directors and upper levels are mostly incompetent people who happened to be sticking with the company for +15 years. Lack of younger competent talents in the company, then complained about “not getting the visions to approach younger millennials/Gen Z.” People getting burned out left and right and leaving the company for better opportunities right after getting promoted because of the workload. HR department from directors to lower levels do not care about you, you will get blamed for their mistakes or your requests will get ignored. Mistakes and problems in head office and warehouse being swept under the rug, everyone on upper levels acted like it’s all rose petals and champagnes. Way too underpaid compared to other companies, plus a small team on stretch taking care of hundreds of stores, it will drive you crazy. Recent acquisitions came with plans that make people raise their eyebrows.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed and candid review. It's clear you cared about the work, your team, and the impact you were making, and we truly do appreciate that. We're also really glad to hear that the onboarding experience, development opportunities, and peer relationships were strong during your time here. We also recognize how challenging it can feel when teams are stretched , priorities shift, or support doesn't feel consistent. Feedback around workload, leadership alignment, and long-term sustainability are taken seriously and shared with the appropriate teams. We appreciate you taking the time to speak honestly about your experience, and we wish you the best moving forward!!

Pros

Working here puts you right at the center of sneaker, fashion, and youth culture. You get exposure to massive global vendor partnerships (Nike, Jordan, Adidas, Puma) and high-scale enterprise operations that look great on a resume. Solid corporate benefits package including a competitive 401(k) match, health/wellness accounts, and performance-based bonuses or RSUs at leadership levels. Excellent product perks, including an employee discount across all banners (Foot Locker, Champs, Kids Foot Locker). The corporate dress code is casual and sneaker-friendly. Internal Mobility: Because of the massive global corporate footprint, there are clear paths to transition across different departments (Marketing, Supply Chain, Tech, Finance, Merchandising) along with tuition reimbursement opportunities.

Cons

In efforts to streamline costs, optimize the store fleet, and fund digital growth, the company has historically undergone structural realignments, corporate relocations, or localized layoffs, which can impact team morale and workload distribution.
