Pros

The company has been around for decades and prides itself on never having layoffs. While there are issues (noted below), most employees generally have a sense of security in their role. There are opportunities to grow if you are willing to put in the time/work - many internal promotions. Employer-paid health insurance is a nice benefit, though high deductibles and out of pocket maximums.

Cons

Communication is poor and overly scripted. Every couple of years there is an attempt to survey employees, yet there is rarely any follow-through. Items that have been brought to HR's attention result in no action being taken; reaching out feels like a lost cause. Overall, benefits are mediocre and outdated at best. Minimal educational opportunities/tuition reimbursement and no parental leave. There are zero efforts to promote diversity and inclusion at this company,

Thank you for taking the time to review FTJ on Glassdoor. We truly appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts and insights about our company. It is wonderful to hear that you value the internal job opportunities we provide, as well as our company-paid health insurance premiums for employee coverage. We strive to create a positive and supportive work environment, and your feedback helps us continually improve. Recently, we held a virtual town hall meeting, which was a great opportunity for us to connect with employees and address any concerns or questions. We have plans to host additional town halls in the future to ensure open and ongoing communication with our team. Thank you once again for your review. If you have any further suggestions or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out. Best regards, FTJ representative

Pros

G o o d team mates

Cons

The return-to-office policy makes zero sense. It’s clearly about control, not productivity. Work that was done just fine remotely now requires sitting in an office for no real reason. Commutes are a waste of time and money, and morale has taken a hit. Leadership talks about flexibility but doesn’t actually practice it. It feels disconnected from reality.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on Glassdoor about our return to the office—your feedback truly means a lot to us as we navigate this transition together. Your points regarding the commute, increased expenses, and the effect on morale are important, and we understand how these factors can influence both job satisfaction and overall performance. The intention behind the policy was never to diminish the trust we have in our team, nor to undermine the flexibility that has been such a vital part of our culture. Instead, the goal has been to foster collaboration and maintain our shared sense of community. A special thanks to those who have already been commuting and working onsite full-time—we really appreciate your dedication and flexibility. Now, with everyone joining together in our new space, we have a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our sense of community and spark even more collaboration. Warm regards, FTJ Representative
