All That Glitters Isn't Gold - Accounting/Finance Forum Investment Group Employee Review

Pros

The Big Buck Hunter video game in the lunch room was set to "Free Play"

Cons

Too much busy work like SMART Goals that aren't SMART, Harassment Training, Company Surveys and Team Building to complete actual job duties. High employee burn-out and turn-over. Incompetence is rewarded. Corporate Culture is like a Frat Party. Work life balance is preached but the opposite is delivered. Double Standards between management and employees. Salaried professionals treated like hourly children. Zero Diversity (This is the whitest place I've ever worked)

Pros

Leadership cares about people and have created a work hard, play hard environment. They strive for work-life balance for all of us and are flexible around schedules. I also appreciate our Townhalls and the level of transparency that is rare in a lot of companies.

Cons

It is not for everyone but I appreciate the fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Pros

I love working here and feel like I've finally found my home work-wise. Forum offers you the ability to have your voice and ideas heard and has a fun, collaborative culture where people really care about one another. It's a fast-paced place, so you've got to thrive in that kind of environment to thrive here - which I personally like. The firm is always looking for new opportunities and ways to stay ahead of the curve, which is something I value.

Cons

We're an entrepreneurial firm, which means we go where the opportunity is. Some people see this as lack of focus. Rather, I see it as being innovative and not beholden to doing things the way they've always been done "just because." We believe strongly in solid cultural fits, which has meant some turnover over the years. But the positive side of that is we have people who believe in and live our values and "stick".
