Pros

With the company's entrepreneurial approach comes some serious drawbacks. Forum can never settle on a strategy, blowing like the wind depending on the CEO's mindset that particular day. At times employees are empowered and given high levels of responsibility, at other times they are micromanaged down to the smallest detail. Most employees are high-quality and good people, although the mix of backgrounds (from REIT corporate managers to highly entrepreneurial types) creates an incoherent culture that often seems confused.

Cons

Forum is an extremely difficult work environment, which is reflected in the approximately 75% annual turnover rate at the company's headquarters. The CEO is highly emotional and has a scattered focus - sometimes he cares intensely and other times he's nowhere to be found. Employees are consistently berated in front of other co-workers, leading to very uncomfortable workplace dynamics. Most employees criticize management openly and are actively looking for other opportunities.

Pros

I loved working here because of the autonomy. Initially, there was great sense of team, where everyone did everything competently and helped out wherever help was needed. The lax approach to managing serious business afforded lots of on the job learning and the group supported our learning processes.

Cons

The CEO checked out and no longer cared about the day-to-day operations. It used to be a team, wit him at the head. When he stopped caring, there was no one to fill in and act as a leader of the company. 80% of the top staff that I worked with has left in the last year.

Pros

The Big Buck Hunter video game in the lunch room was set to "Free Play"

Cons

Too much busy work like SMART Goals that aren't SMART, Harassment Training, Company Surveys and Team Building to complete actual job duties. High employee burn-out and turn-over. Incompetence is rewarded. Corporate Culture is like a Frat Party. Work life balance is preached but the opposite is delivered. Double Standards between management and employees. Salaried professionals treated like hourly children. Zero Diversity (This is the whitest place I've ever worked)
