Pros

Fully remote work, if that is even in this day and age

Cons

- I was not paid for my services for 8 months, even now, I am being owed a significant amount - CEO Gregg Armirage does not seem to care about his current and former employees. Overall I don't think he shows any real emotions, but he seems very charming superficially witch creates a positive illusion at first - Pretentious environment - If you were late to a meeting witch could happen due to any techical reason, you had to embarrass yourself and sing in the front of the team. - Horrible client management. I was connected to the client slack channel and had an opportunity to see for myself, simple questions not being answered for weeks

Pros

I cannot say enough positive things about this place - it is truly a people first company that walks the talk. We all have a stake in the business, expectations are clear, we have autonomy over our work, trust in getting it done, support when we need it, challenges and honest, thoughtful feedback ... It's not about finger pointing, blaming when there are mistakes - it's about being a team, course correcting and learning and growing from our mistakes. We care about each other, about our clients and about our candidates. The pace is fast, there are challenges every day, but I am empowered to solve them and I know who to turn to when I can't do it myself. I can share my concerns with my boss and know that I will be heard and we can work toward a resolution. Other perks: - 1 mandatory day off a month - All federal holidays off - Unlimited PTO (though we are a small startup so it's not really like we can have unlimited - I say within reason) - ESOP - Thnks - Entire team is fully remote - No Sunday Scaries --> legit!!

Cons

Not a con - but the reality of the startup world is that things move quickly, there is not always a process, and the workload is high. This can be challenging, but in my short time with the company we have put in processes, iterated, communicated and actively worked on making the workload more manageable. Things are not perfect here by any means, but we are a team, have each other's backs and we get through it all together. You either thrive in this sort of environment or you don't, and it's important to know that about yourself and be honest; no judgement or shame if it's not your jam --> find something that truly is! Pay and health care could be better -- but that's definitely not unique to FoundHuman. My only true con is that there is no 401k.

Pros

I have never worked for a company that has a team of people who work together so effectively and actually care about each other. We all work remotely, unless we want to work from the Boston office, and even though I have not met most of the team, I know about their lives and feel like they are my friends as much as my coworkers. When we disagree, we talk about it and come to a solution. The founder of FoundHuman, Gregg Armitage, is one of the best supervisors that I have ever worked for. He genuinely cares about what motivates each individual employee and finds ways to help us tailor our jobs to help us be the most productive and best employees. I never want to work anywhere else again.

Cons

FoundHuman is a relatively small company, for now, so sometimes we wear multiple hats (which can be fun), but we are all such hard working people who care about the company, that from time to time, we bite off more than we can chew. On a plus though, it's a quick turn around to get back on track to a reasonable work load. The work always ebbs and flows.
