Soul-Sucking Corporate America at its Worst - Anonymous employee Fragomen Employee Review

Pros

The coworkers were really the only positive thing about this place. Equally unappreciated and overworked, often all the APs and Ps would band together, still working hours after all the more senior management / attorneys had long gone home. During CAP season, expect the office to be full of candy and COSTCO catered lunches!

Cons

Quantity over quality. Constant technological failure that is beyond absurd (Lotus Notes, seriously?! It would crash constantly making it impossible to meet deadlines even if you weren't already swamped). Little to no training (other than power point slides), or worse, conflicting training which, when things go awry, always fall to the blame of the APs rather than management. Little value to life outside the office. Expect to stay late, work weekends (during CAP especially), and have little to no work/life balance. The only saving grace will be your coworkers, and hopefully at least one attorney on your team.

Pros

Decent overtime pay. I also had a decent training/onboarding experience, but this was not the norm.

Cons

Exploitative, 80+ hour work weeks, 2am messages from attorneys, burn-out model for paralegals and associates (scoop them up after BA or JD and overwork them until they quit), misrepresent case load during interview by 50% of total, low ceiling for non-attorney career advancement. Have an exit plan.
