Pros
The team members were generally supportive and the company provided good exposure to fast-paced product development and real-time issue handling. It was a good place to understand agile workflows, cross-team coordination, and handling production-critical scenarios under pressure. The environment helped in improving ownership and adaptability.
Cons
Although hired as an SDET, most of the work involved manual testing and the automation maturity was quite low, with no proper scalable automation framework in place. Work pressure became extremely high, especially around IPO timelines, leading to rushed deliveries and impacting overall engineering quality. Frequent requirement changes, tight deadlines, and unrealistic expectations often affected work-life balance and made long-term technical improvements difficult.
