Pros

If you love grooming you won't if you work here long. Run remotely run very badly by people that do not know anything about the grooming industry. Cheap labor you'll get fired for stupid reasons or you'll quit because they never fix the problems that you will continue to complain about for days, weeks and months if you last that long. If you do care about the way you groom and handle matted dogs you'll get fired because your not doing 5-8 dogs a day and working 12-14 hours a day. You'll be driving for 2 hours and not getting paid for it to get to appointments. They don't know how to schedule dogs realistically. They will set you up to fail. Pay is not good. You won't make a living doing what you love unless you cut corners and do a speed groom and hope the client don't notice. Groomer turnover is 2-6 months

Cons

Bad management and owner. Pay is awful not fair. You can find a better place to work. You won't be here for long. Others steal your things. management/owner doesn't care about you or dogs safety. They guilt trip you into putting your life and the dogs life in danger working in 90+ degree weather with no air conditioner in van. Make you trouble shoot the mechanics of the vehicle and the power system losing pay by canceling your paying grooms to do their job for free risking your life and safety. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!

Pros

Having someone running the business who’s an actual groomer makes a huge difference. My boss understands what it’s like to be in the van, work with pets, and handle the challenges that come with grooming. She is approachable, supportive, and genuinely care about both groomers and clients. Communication is great, scheduling is improving but not perfect, and there’s a real focus on maintaining work-life balance. It’s refreshing to work for a company led by someone who “gets it” not just running a business because its the hot money maker right now, but from hands-on experience. You feel heard, respected, and appreciated for the work you do.

Cons

The call center and communication could use some improvement. They don't pay attention all the time and can route a day that doesn't make sense with driving. which can make scheduling a little tricky at times. It’s something the boss is trying to improve. We do have to check our schedules and the management team tries to stay on it. We are very busy and don't get paid for drive time

Pros

None they are shady here

Cons

My experience working for Furry Land in the Waukesha/ Milwaukee area was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional employment experiences I've had. After providing updated medical documentation that management requested, I made multiple attempts to get answers regarding my employment status and scheduling. Instead of receiving communication, I was largely met with silence. Calls went unanswered, messages were ignored, and I was left chasing management for basic information about my own job. The biggest issue wasn't my medical situation—it was the complete lack of communication and respect from leadership. Employees deserve honest answers and timely responses, especially when their income and employment status are on the line. The management team consistently failed to communicate professionally, and the training process often felt disorganized and inconsistent. Expectations changed, support was lacking, and concerns were not addressed in a meaningful way. What disappointed me most was the gap between what management said and what management actually did. I was repeatedly given the impression that my concerns mattered, but when it came time for action and communication, there was little follow-through. I cannot recommend this company as an employer based on my experience. Future employees should pay close attention to how communication, training, and employee concerns are handled because those issues had a significant impact on my time there. This review reflects my personal experience and the reasons I ultimately lost confidence in the leadership and management of this company.
