Pros
I loved it. The first two tests were like a honeymoon stage. I was ‘performing well’, getting raises, annual profit sharing bonuses, and discussing promotions. I had the best supervisor I could get. They were kind and knowledgeable. I got lucky.
Cons
Geico began changing performance goals every month. They relaxed them all in the previous year to get caught up on files and to focus on taking more calls and having less customers on hold. Which is fine but the customers would be happier if their rates weren’t raised every time they closed their eyes. Once they relaxed on metrics, they began hiring people with no integrity. Didn’t care about their job or customers. Just there for a check. The customers can tell the facade. They know the difference. My performance took a hit and I was terminated. Unable to get unemployment benefits because of the termination with no other assistance from management. Felt expendable. Confused. Worried. I almost lost everything due to a lot of jobs not actually hiring but posting job applications as if they are.
