Pros

I've been with GLG for over 5 years and have had an incredible experience. The best part of working here is the PEOPLE. We hire smart, talented and driven professionals who are down to earth and incredibly interesting. Management is supportive/ approachable and mentorship is encouraged. Individuals are recognized for their work and considered for new opportunities which keeps employees engaged and continuously learning/improving/moving up in the the company. Additionally, GLG encourages entrepreneurship-- if you have an idea for a new product, process improvement, new workflow etc the Management team wants to hear about it and will seriously consider your suggestions. Oftentimes these employee-based ideas come to fruition at the company. Further, GLG gives you exposure to working with clients DIRECTLY even at a more junior level. If you want to gain real, hands-on and intense client service experience, GLG is a great place for that. The skills you learn in client solutions, content, & business development can be applied and used across various roles within GLG AND beyond GLG, as one's career continues to evolve and develop. I can't say enough great things about my experience and my career at GLG. I've learned a great deal, I have met incredible mentors & lifelong friends and I've become a better professional by working here.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about GLG.

Pros

Amazing people - lots of reviews say that because it's true. You'll work with smart, genuine, hard working humans. Good benefits and perks. Interesting events and opportunities to learn. Overall, a good place to start your career!

Cons

Very fast-paced environment which definitely isn't for everyone. Lots of necessary change.

Pros

Good colleagues, arguably a good job post college (for like a year MAX)

Cons

I cannot stress enough how terrible this company is. Spent 5 years there, and watched it go further downhill every year. You leave with only soft skills (if that), and 0 actual industry knowledge. Seriously, you leave only knowing a bunch of Hocus Pocus. I am really surprised this company hasn't been bought yet. Or merged. On my team alone, we lost 7 out of our 9 managers since January... either due to layoffs or them quitting. Pay is low. There are no bonuses and it's very difficult to get a raise. 90k in NYC is poverty. There are bright people that come in with Masters, and PhDs, and MBAs -- handing them 90k is insulting.
